Configuring for Sony Ericsson W800i
//
I'm told that the W810i needs to store audio in
something like this structure:
W810i/MP3/audio/[artist name]/[album name]
1. Advanced:Volumes menu:
Select 'Number of destination folder levels' to be at least 1
Select 'Create Artist/Album folder hierarchy'
Unselect 'Create .m3u playlists'
Select to convert all files to AAC
Select the Volume 'W810i'
Select Destination Folder 'MP3'
Unselect 'Sync shows'
3. Advanced:Playlists window:
Select subfolder 'audio'
That should get the music into the right place!
If you have problems with Mac OS X hidden files you can use FinderCleaner to remove them from the whole volume when ejecting: SyncTunes only deletes them from the destination folder and below.
The m3u playlists are not supported on the W800i. You can unselect this option, and the sync will be quicker.
W810i/MP3/audio/[artist name]/[album name]
To set up SyncTunes follow these instructions...Under the 'MP3' folder you may have more freedom, but I have no confirmation of that.
1. Advanced:Volumes menu:
Select 'Number of destination folder levels' to be at least 1
Select 'Create Artist/Album folder hierarchy'
Unselect 'Create .m3u playlists'
Select to convert all files to AAC
2. Main window:[MP3 files created by iTunes do not work with the W810i so use SyncTunes to convert them to AAC during the sync.]
Select the Volume 'W810i'
Select Destination Folder 'MP3'
Unselect 'Sync shows'
3. Advanced:Playlists window:
