Configuring for Sony Ericsson W600i
//
Here is a summary of how to use SyncTunes with the
W600i.
WARNING: I have a report, tested on 2 different W600i phones, the phones have frozen when the destination folder has 2 levels, such as /audio/mp3, and the artist/album folder hierarchy is selected. So please be careful and use the Advanced:Volumes settings to limit destination folder levels to 1.
In these instructions the volume that the W600i mounts on the Mac is called "NO NAME", I'm not sure if this can be changed on the phone.
To set up SyncTunes follow these instructions...
1. Advanced:Volumes menu:
Select 'Number of destination folder levels' to be 1
Select 'Create Artist/Album folder hierarchy', if you want files organised this way.
Unselect 'Create .m3u playlists'
2. Main window:
Select the Volume 'NO NAME'
Select Destination Folder 'audio'
Unselect 'Sync shows' if you do not want podcasts
3. Advanced:Playlists window:
Select subfolder 'music' ... you should be able to select a different name.
That should get the music into the right place!
The m3u playlists are not supported on the W600i. You can unselect this option, and the sync will be quicker.
