Storing Notes and Scheduling Reminders

Notes Menu
Diabetes Logbook X can store notes and dates about upcoming appointments and supply re-orders, as well as contact details for your healthcare team. Use the 'Notes & Schedules' menu to access these features.

Notes

Record general notes and reminders here, along with the next appointments for the clinic/hospital and doctor's surgery.
Notes-Notes

Clicking iCal button adds an event in the iCal 'Diabetes Logbook X' calendar with the Note added to the event's note field: an alert is scheduled in iCal for 1 hour before the appointment.

Supplies

Record medicines etc. as supply sets with their next re-order dates.
Notes-Supplies

Clicking iCal button adds a ToDo event in the iCal 'Diabetes Logbook X' calendar with the Supply name and Description added to the ToDo's note field: an alert is scheduled in iCal for 7 am on the due date.

Contacts

Record important contact information for emergencies, doctor/GP, diabates nurse, clinic/hospital, and the local pharmacy.
Notes-Contacts

Clicking Email button launches your default email application and starts a new email to the contact.

Clicking Address Book button adds the contact to [or updates] the Address Book. The contacts are stored in the group 'Diabetes Logbook X' and each is assigned a department name from 'Diabetes Logbook X #1' to 5. Do not change the group or department name in Address Book as doing so will stop the contact from being updated.

Note:

If you create or update contacts while Address Book is open, the changes may take a little while to appear in Address Book's window. It seems that there is a background refresh happening between the Address Book application and its database and this causes the lag.
