Customising the User Settings
All customisation is performed through the User Settings drawer of the main Logbook view. Use the User Settings button to show and hide the drawer.
User Settings
Name: The person's name to add to the top of reports.
Peak flow units: select the units in which you test peak flow: currently only L/min. This is used as the preset unit when adding new events. It is also the unit that the reports will use.
Weight: select the units in which you record weight. Typically the UK uses Kg and the US uses lb. This is used in the reports, and for calculating Body Mass Index (BMI).
Height: select the units in which you record weight. Typically the UK uses cm and the US uses in. This is used in the reports, and for calculating BMI.
Peak Flow Levels: these set the boundaries to the critical and target levels of peak flow. These levels will normally be set by your asthma medical team.This is used to automatically set the peak flow level indicator in the Event Panel and Logbook Table.
Periods: these are used to make it easier to review peak flow for different parts of the day.
Defaults: set preferred inhalers and medicine. These are used as presets when adding a new event. Use the 'Edit Lists ...' button to manage the list of inhalers, medicines and event types.
Save Settings Now: force a save of the database and user settings to occur immediately.
Managing the Insulin, Medicine and Event name lists
Inhalers: used to list all type of inhaler for both Inhaler A and Inhaler B, in the Event Panel of the main Logbook view.
Medicines: you may take medicines to help manage asthma, this list populates the Medicines list in the Event Panel of the main Logbook view.
Events: this list enables to keep tags for different event types, such as types of activities, general health and is used in the Event Panel.
There are two event types which are automatically added to the list of events and will add a template text to the Notes field when adding/editing and event, if the Notes field is empty:
- 'Clinic': the note template is set to help record
height, weight, BP and next visit date.
- 'Starting item': the note template is set to help record when starting a new item that has an expiry date, such as ketone strips.
